Copy and paste this code into MS word or a dreamweaver file and save as “robots.txt”. Then upload it onto your site server so the search engines will find it. If you site is already built and your getting some search engine traffic, it may be too late for this so move so go ahead and submit manually to all 3 major search engines, then consider paying a cheap fee to for auto submission to the thousands of others.

The next thing to consider for website promotion is to submit your site to directories. While many people know about the Yahoo and DMOZ directories, there are hundreds of others that are very high ranking sites which you would be proud to be accepted in. Here are a few more:
