Advertising your website or blog is very important. For example, if you were going to do a site on “prom hairstyles” so you can sell items and hair supplies for that special night, you could consider advertising on sites that sell prom dresses, limo services, flower shops, tuxedo shops, etc. Then you could try to get them to exchange a link or banner ad from your site to theirs. If necessary, offer cash for a link or banner on their homepage. You can try to find out how good their traffic is at (Site Analyitics). This will give you a general guide of how much to offer. You could start by offering between $5.00 and $10.00 per month for every 1000 unique visitors that that site gets. You can often work out deals by paying for 6 months to one year in advance. This is an excellent way to get plenty of targeted internet advertising working for you.

You can also try to get some targeted traffic by signing up for Google Adwords and Yahoo Marketing. These are paid ads but you don’t pay unless someone clicks on known as (PPC) or Pay Per Click. Depending on your budget this can be a great form of putting up internet ads but sometimes the price per click is a little high which makes it difficult to get your (ROI) return on investment.
